Goal - Recount what I learned at bike safety.
Personal goal - Use poetic language.
On Wednesday last week Senior Jono came to Toko school for bike safety. The year 3 and 4’s had to bring their own bikes to school.
First Senior Jonho came to the classroom to talk to the year 4’s about safety with our bikes and helmets. One of the things he talked to us about is where are the safety parts on a bike. He had his big blue and yellow bike with him. Then he told the girls to get our bikes my bike is green it used to be my brothers and my helmet is silver like a shiny screw.
Then we walked over to the basketball outline on the side of the court. We had to put our helmets on so that we could see if our helmets fat on our heads right or to see if they needed to be tightened. We had to go forward on our bikes then brake to see if the were as good as a stopping horse.
Next Jonho set up a course for us to go around at first I was a bit nervous about the course because I didn’t know if I was going to do the course right. We had a round about, we had to learn to give way and when there's a gap you can go! I ended up doing pretty well on the course. While Jono was packing up we went down to the backfield to do bike races with Johnos helper, we did two slow races and two fast races. Then it was time to end the bike safety we walked our bikes up to where the bus shelter is then we ran back to class. I had so much fun I learned that you get fined $50 for riding on the foot path I love bike safety and I would love to do it again.
